2nd EMBT 2008
The two days Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday 17 were filled with exciting papers while leaving sufficient time for discussions.
There was an optional 3rd day - on Friday, April 18 - a factory tour at Bornemann in Obernkirchen. We recommend participating in this tour to round off your practical knowledge of Multiphase Boosting at the premises of the global market leader. Participation is already included in your participation fee.

DAY ONE
Aerospace and Formula 1 are intensive in research and development, and have served our daily life with many outstanding achievements. This is also reflected in the research and development efforts covering Multiphase Boosting: As subsea applications call for a variety of high integrity components and sub-systems to achieve the required availability, these may also be used to improve the total cost of ownership in topsides and onshore applications. This session covers latest technology impacts resulting from e.g. generic modelling, wear, strength and stress analysis, and sets out the advantage of condition monitoring. Did you further know that Multiphase Pumps can be used as a tool for reservoir engineers?

DAY TWO
Multiphase Boosting has evolved to be a recognized practise in today's oil & gas operations. Installations can be found onshore topsides and subsea, covering a wide variety of performance envelopes in regard to pump capacity and differential pressure required. This session will cover application and operating experience gained by international operators in heavy and light oil as well as wet gas compression. Annulus vapor recovery, high fluid temperature and differential pressure, and subsea installations are specific issues, to just name a few.
