Jan Camphausen

Research Group for Off-Road Machines, University of Bochum, Germany
Jan Camphausen has been working as a research assistant at Ruhr-University of Bochum at the “Research Group for Off-Road Machines” since he finished his Diploma studies in mechanical engineering in October 2003. He got first in touch with multiphase twin screw pumps during his diploma thesis about unbalance calculation of the pump rotors. Besides teaching undergraduate courses in the fields of “machine parts” and “design basics”, his research activities focus on the parametric description of stresses and strains of the rotor components of multiphase twinscrew pumps. He worked within the project “Multiphase Pump Aggregate for 24.000h endurance service” running from October 2004 to September 2007, which was supported by the German “Federal Ministry of Education and Research” (BMBF) and the “Joh.-Heinr. Bornemann GmbH”. In 2008 he will finish his doctoral thesis about the parametrical dynamic strength assessment of the conveyor screws of multiphase twinscrew pumps.
